Photo Album Wedding Gift for the Trani

Mariet Trani was telling me how, the other night, her father acted boyish again. Many family members were in the house. They had invited people from the village to come visit to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary, as the celebration was quite private. Many persons were interested in looking at the photo album that Manuel and I offered as a wedding gift, with pictures from Bato dating to 1981.

At some point, something caught Mariet's attention. She saw her father acting weird, in one corner of the room. He was inching his way closer to the door. She noticed that this tall and slim man now had a huge square stomach, exactly the size of the photo album! She questioned him about the strange looking shape under his shirt. He readily admitted that he wanted to show the album to his friends. He was trying to discreetly sneak outside to show it to them at his ease. Once this plot was exposed, he was obviously allowed to show it as he wished.

Mariet Trani me racontait comment, l'autre soir, son père avait agi comme un petit garçon. Plusieurs membres de la famille étaient venu visiter. Des gens du village étaient invités à célébrer le 50ième anniversaire de mariage. C'était une fête donnée en privé. Plusieurs personnes étaient intéressées à regarder l'album contenant des photos de Bato datant de 1981, que Manuel et moi leur avions offert comme cadeau de mariage.

À un moment donné, un drôle d'événement a capté l'attention de Mariet. Elle a vu son père agissant de façon étrange, dans un coin de la salle. Il se dirigeait lentement vers de la porte. Elle a remarqué que cet homme grand et mince avait une énorme bosse carrée sur son estomac, exactement de la taille de l'album photo! Elle l'a interrogé au sujet de l'étrange forme sous sa chemise. Il a admis qu'il voulait montrer l'album à ses amis. Il essayait de se faufiler discrètement à l'extérieur pour le montrer à son aise. Une fois que son plan fut exposé, il eut évidemment la permission de le montrer à sa guise.
